FBCCI is the apex trade organization of Bangladesh, playing a consultative and advisory role in safeguarding private-sector interests. Established in 1973 under the Trade Organization Ordinance, 1961, it is the umbrella body for chambers and associations across the country. Following the August 2024 political transition, the government dissolved the elected board and appointed an administrator pending fresh elections.
