Maliha M Quadir

Maliha M Quadir is a Bangladeshi-American technology entrepreneur, best known as the Founder and former Managing Director of Shohoz, Bangladesh's consumer tech super-app. She is an alumnus of Smith College and Harvard University, and has worked at some of the world's top organizations including Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered, Nokia, and Vistaprint.

Quadir started working on building Shohoz towards the end of 2013. In 2014, Shohoz started its journey in Bangladesh as an online bus ticketing platform. Under her leadership, Shohoz expanded into ride-hailing (March 2018), food delivery (October 2018), and digital healthcare (Shohoz Health, May 2020).

Quadir is a recipient of the Young Global Leader award by the World Economic Forum (2007). She was recognized as one of the top female founders globally. Shohoz raised $15 million in funding led by Golden Gate Ventures (September 2018) and was registering one million completed rides per month.

Before pursuing her lifelong dream of founding her own company, Quadir worked in finance in the U.S. and Singapore. She told TechCrunch: "It's in my mind but there's so much to do in Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, you can really make an impact \u2014 it's a green field."
