Karooth IT (BD) Limited (KIT) is a specialized technology company focused on building secure digital infrastructure for governments, international development agencies, and large institutions. Founded in 2013 as a biometric systems practice, KIT has grown into a full-spectrum institutional technology partner operating across South Asia and Africa. The company was formally incorporated in Bangladesh in 2019 and has since expanded its practice into enterprise MIS, ERP, and system integration. KIT's core expertise lies in biometric identity systems, including fingerprint, face, iris, and multi-modal recognition engines for national ID, civil registration, and border control. The company has delivered some of Bangladesh's most critical national infrastructure projects, including the National ID (NID) system, biometric platforms for Bangladesh Police, the machine-readable smart driving licence, and intelligent vehicle number plate recognition systems. Internationally, KIT is executing a World Bank-funded social protection deployment in South Sudan.
