How the RFQ System Works
A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is the fastest way to source from Bangladesh: describe what you need once, and verified manufacturers respond with offers. BangladeshExport.com is a pure B2B inquiry platform — there is no shopping cart and no markup; you negotiate and trade directly with the supplier.
Post your RFQ — free
Describe the product, quantity, target budget and delivery date on the RFQ form. You can post as a guest with just your name and email, or register as a buyer to manage everything from your buyer dashboard. Sending an inquiry from any product page pre-fills the supplier for you.
Matching suppliers are notified
Your RFQ is matched to suppliers by product category and capabilities — matching manufacturers in the relevant industry receive an invitation, and public RFQs are visible in the open RFQ list where suppliers can respond. Each RFQ stays open for 30 days by default.
Compare quotes & message suppliers
Invited suppliers respond with pricing, lead time and trade terms. Everything arrives in your RFQ dashboard, and the built-in messaging thread keeps the whole negotiation in one place. Review each supplier's profile, certifications, factory details and product catalog before you commit.
Award and trade directly
Choose the supplier that fits your price, quality and delivery needs and continue the deal directly. Contact details unlock through the platform's contact-reveal system, so both sides are protected while you exchange the documents needed to close the order — samples, contracts, payment and shipment terms.

Frequently asked questions
Does it cost anything to post an RFQ? +
No. Posting an RFQ and receiving quotes is free for buyers. BangladeshExport.com does not take any commission on your deal — it is a directory and inquiry platform, not a marketplace that processes your payment.
Do I need to register first? +
No — you can post as a guest with just your name and email. A buyer account is created for your email automatically so you can log in later (use the password reset flow) and manage your RFQs, quotes and messages from the buyer dashboard.
How long does an RFQ stay open? +
RFQs remain open for 30 days by default, after which they are marked expired. You can post a fresh RFQ at any time if your sourcing need is still active.
Can I send an RFQ to one specific supplier? +
Yes. Use the "Request Quotation" form on any product page or supplier profile — the RFQ is delivered directly to that supplier as an invitation. If you prefer, you can also make an RFQ private so only invited suppliers can see it.
How are suppliers verified? +
Supplier profiles carry verification signals such as EPB registration numbers, BGMEA/BASIS/association memberships, TIN verification and the platform's own document verification workflow. Check a supplier's profile badges and certifications before shortlisting.
