Tawhida Shiropa
📋 Biography
Tawhida Shiropa is a Bangladeshi social entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of Moner Bondhu, Bangladesh's largest and leading mental health and wellbeing platform. With 13 years of experience in the social sector, she founded Moner Bondhu to address the mental health crisis in Bangladesh, a country of 180 million people where mental health services have historically been stigmatized and inaccessible.
Shiropa is an Acumen Fellow and a US State Department alumna. Under her leadership, Moner Bondhu provides 24/7 mental health support through a hotline, trained counselors, mobile app, and digital content. The platform also developed Manush-E, a product focused on transforming children's well-being, recognized by UNICEF Venture Fund.
In 2023, Shiropa was selected as a 'Sustainability Thought Leader' in Vogue Business 100 Innovators, a prestigious international recognition. She has received funding from Startup Bangladesh Limited (iDEA grant) and support from UNICEF Venture Fund and UNDP.
Moner Bondhu serves individuals, corporate employee wellness programs, and educational institutions across Bangladesh.
