Mr. Ahmed began his career with Ifad Autos Ltd. in 1999, working with Ashok Leyland ā which today provides the bulk of trucks, buses, and light cargo vehicles in Bangladesh. Under his leadership, the company\'s vehicle sales expanded tenfold over the previous decade, now selling more than 3,000 units annually. š
This growth is attributed to his creation of aggressive sales strategies, customer-friendly lending facilities, and a strong credit recovery system, which have elevated Ifad Autos Ltd to the top of the capital market since its IPO in 2014. š
šļø DCCI Presidency
Mr. Ahmed was elected as President of DCCI for 2025 in December 2024. DCCI, established in 1958, is the largest and most vibrant business chamber in Bangladesh, with membership consisting of industrial conglomerates, manufacturers, importers, exporters, and traders ā mostly small and medium enterprises. š¤
Previously, he served as President of the India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) from November 2015. His diverse chamber leadership experience makes him one of Bangladesh\'s most connected business leaders in the trade and commerce sector. š
